In recognition of the exemplary HEIs that championed the global reputation of Philippine Higher Education through their commendable performance in recognized international rankings and ratings, trailblazing efforts to advance the internationalization of Philippine Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), and valuable contributions to ASEAN’s regional prosperity, the Commission on Higher Education International Affairs Service (IAS) conducted an awarding ceremony titled, “ASEAN Internationalization ofASEAN Philippine Higher Education Internationalization Champions Of Nation-building and Sustainability (ICONS) Internationalization Awards
Advancing the Philippine higher education system, the following higher education institutions were recognized and awarded for their performance in the international rankings and ratings leagues table namely, Quacquarelli Symmonds, Times Higher Education, and World Universitites with Real Impact.
The CHED IAS gave recognition to its international and local partners that exhibited the spirit of “Bayanihan” by providing assistance to the Commission’s endeavors, particularly during the pandemic. When the world was in chaos, they continued to build, promote, and strengthen the internationalization of Philippine higher education.
The Internationalization (IZN) Awards is the highlight of the awards night. Following the 1st Philippine Higher Education Internationalization Award in 2021, the IZN awards is divided into four categories which aims to honor Philippine HEIs and Philippine HEI leaders that championed the internationalization of Philippine Higher Education.
